The Shop Foreman supervises and mentors the Apprentices and technicians to ensure that customers needs are met and their trucks are fixed right the first time. This position is responsible for day to day activities of the shop, technician training and coaching and shop equipment.

 What you will do:

• Ensure Apprentices are given proper information to do the job efficiently and correctly. Train them to develop their skills.
• Be involved in the workflow of the day
• Perform road test with customers when needed
• Perform quality control inspection
• Involved with a Quality Control Process to avoid comebacks
• Keep up to date with the most current information through OEM training and service bulletins
• Be involved with management to hire technicians and apprentices
• When necessary open and or close facility
• Arrange forTechnician training path and schedule

 Required skills:

• 10 years minimum experience as 310s licensed Technician
• Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good judgment and able to make tough decision
• Team player

Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting & finance department
• Supervise a staff of 3 employees
• Review Schedules every month
• Complete monthly tax remittances
• Ensure that all accounts receivables are in good standing.
• Provide support to all operating departments within the organization.
• Collaborate with vendors and department managers to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist in the Annual Forecasting Process
• Ensure that effective and efficient internal controls are in place for accounting & finance processes.
• Assist the General Manager on special projects
• Produce monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner

 The candidate will possess:

• University Degree or College Diploma with a concentration in Accounting or Business Administration
• Ideal Candidate will currently be working towards or have recently completed their CPA Designation
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and to work in a team environment to ensure reporting deadlines are met
• Bilingualism is an asset
• Previous Automotive Dealership Experience is considered an asset
